there is songs on the radio
that remind me of you, of us, in seconds
a flood of memories would rush through me and
my day would be lost, i would reach for the
dial to turn it off as quick as i could
but today, i let it play , one hand on the steering wheel
and the other out the window
today i realized that there were no more feelings to these
memories.....

i need to remember these words next time i'm in the car and have these feelings and this type of memories. they don't come as often as they did, but, like you, a song or a train of thought will invite them. thank you for posting this.

i do not know wot you are referring to. so forgive me if is tep on painful or re-awaken numb toes.
.
i do know this precise decision: when it happens. it is crucial, almost as if some sort of life depends upon the right choice.
..
and then, after i have felt i have made the right choice for too long, as in: the forgetting: i am so bereaved. like some strange strand of memory loss has now concretized for good.
.
this is amazingly poignant and now i have had to write more words than you have used to tell you so.
..
i found you through some other random writer.
..
it seems the world is becoming smaller than our pain, and i would have never thought this, since i only saw the world: also as a place full of pain.
